A goalkeeper who was won 2 premier league titles, been capped by England 75 times. Looking at those stats alone you would think this player is one of the greatest showstoppers of the Premier League era.
But sadly for Joe Hart despite these phenomenal achievement, over the last 5 years his career has taken a rather quick decline.
Following an abysmal Euros with England, and new boss at Manchester City Pep Guardiola coming through the door. The Spaniard rapidly got rid of Joe Hart and shipped him out on loan for the next 2 seasons. A mixed time at Italian outfit Torino and disappointing time at West Ham United. Hart finally left the City for Burnley, where he made sporadic appearances for the clarets.
Then last season, Joe Hart joined Tottenham Hotspur on a two year deal last season, effectively becoming the third-choice keep for the North London outfit.
Hart never made an appearance for Spurs, only playing in cup competitions and a few appearances in the Europa League. With a particular shocking display in a 3-3 draw with LASK Linz.
At the start of the season Joe Hart was informed by new Tottenham boss Nuno Espirtio Santo, that he wasn’t in The Portuguese plans for the upcoming season.
Joe Hart then agreed to go up North of the border to Scotland the Glasgow giants Celtic on a three year deal.
Since joining the Bhoys, Hart has seen the most game time since 2017 becoming the number 1 goalkeeper, including captaining the side on two occasions this season.
Hart will most likely never recapture the form which saw him win 2 golden gloves awards for England, and is almost certain to never be in the conversation to be in an England squad. But Joe Hart right now seems to be at a place, which is fitting of a player with accomplishments that he’s achieved in his career.
